Just got my chicken coop and I'm getting my three silkie chicks next week (one for each of my little boys). Any silkie people out there in Oklahoma?

I don't have silkies but I did just get my first chickens. I'm from Cushing OK. So far I haven't seen many from Oklahoma on here. It's nice to meet you

Nice to meet you too, what breed did you decide one?
I chose silkies because a woman told me they are pretty hardy in any type of weather... & Oklahoma weather is so unpredictable, especially here in Canadian county. Did you start out with chicks or chickens? I recently got 4 chicks from tractor supply.
