These look wonderful! What a neat idea! Thanks for sharing! These would be a great gift for a senior also! They don't usually like too much to eat, and it's a great way to pack 'n preserve a sweet treat!

So how long to these keep?

The frosting I like to use is a cooked frosting w/ buttermilk in it. Would that be safe this way? Or should I just stick to a regular type frosting?

I'm new here, just found this thread while looking for recipes.....has anyone tried canning brownies? Think it would work without frosting? I am a major cook-ahead-er and think that would be great for the lunches, and I make brownies with freshly-ground wheat flour and they SO close to the white-flour version....waddaya think?
