My rir just started lay and I want to eat the eggs but I'm scared.....

Hahaha. I know the feeling. I wasn't sure if I wanted to save the first egg my White Leghorn laid or eat it. Eventually I decided to crack it open into a bowl and then I scrambled it. Absolutely yummy! Now I can't eat store bought eggs - there's no going back.

The only scary thing to me is the occasional "meat". No matter what, it grosses me out. Sorry

Its not bad @ all just looks scary. I've ben thru dozens of eggs this summer only 1 meat. Its pretty rare. Sorry if i scared u with that however u plan on cooking them, most times u will see it before u eat it <3

Blood spots? Extra protein, LOL.

The only thing that grosses me out is when one of my Welsummers presents me with a blood egg. I never know which one is the guilty party but when I broke one the first time into a cake mix and had to dump the whole thing I swear I heard diabolic laughter coming from my coop.
