We found a local seller in the paper and added 5 more chicks to our flock of 11 birds! Found some cool breeds though silver spangled hamburg and a partridge cochine. I wanted to replace 2 we lost as chicks and oops we got 5 not just two like I planned!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep...

...my chicken math is WAY off...I wanted only 12...by the end of the week I'm gonna have 6 ducks and 30 chickens! Whew! I'm glad I'm not alone

That darned chicken math will get you every time! I started with 5 last year and am now up to 40 or so, plus 10 ducks, and will get starting to hatch once we get our bator. Even worse, we have another enabler. We got 7 more Polish from Gretchen yesterday! Just when I thought I was going to get to turn off my brooder for a couple weeks!
