Zane Made REAL Progress (New Pics Pg 99)!RIP Lorelei...

I didn't remember Verlin's wife being a vet tech, Diana

...no, Hollands Rule is a vet tech I believe. I too feel you need to completely immobilize the leg that you are hearing those popping noises in... any stiffness issues from the immobilization can be worked on later.

Now, I really feel brain-damaged, Diana, sorry. I'm not certain it's the leg that is popping. I believe it's his vertebrae, actually, but I can't really be sure. He's just resting today, no messing with him at all. Then, we'll see if we can find that sling/neck-stretcher thing we have and see if possibly his legs will fit through the holes in it, as-is.

when Sunny was really ill over the winter, she rarely stood & often kept her toes curled which I remember I was very distressed about. She could only walk a few steps & would usually tip over then seem too exhausted to get up. She had good days and bad, just like a person fighting to get better. once she turned the corner of regaining her strength it still took days until she could walk straight & had a real appetite.
I'm crossing my fingers for you that Zane's small steps toward progress are signs that he will heal!

Just letting you know that I am still thinking about and praying for Mr. Zane. I hope he feels better really soon!!! (((HUGS)))

You mean send me the material for the sling, S.C.? Oh, that's sweet, but no, hon. I appreciate it, but I have that stretcher thing and I think we could make it work, if DH wants to do it. You're a good friend. (((more hugs))))
Here's sweet Zane in the garden today. This is how he lays most of the time. You can see how pale his face is. He still is eating, though, and drinking. I'll just let him rest and keep pumping nutrition down him and see if time will heal him. He's pretty fond of those mealworms.
