Zane Made REAL Progress (New Pics Pg 99)!RIP Lorelei...

Right back at ya, Stacey! I took Zane into the garden and picked clover for him to eat, then we toured the orchard and looked at the cherry trees, etc. He's eating just fine, especially if he can eat green stuff, like grass and clover, etc. Loves his yogurt and mealworms. Between trying to get enough nutrition down Zane, Lorelei and my broody Olivia, we are a bit weary, but Livvie is due for her baby to hatch Saturday, so that wont be much longer. I so appreciate all the support for our little family here and hope I can have some good news to give you all one day real soon.

Dang it, it's overcast, damp and cool this morning. I want Zane to be able to go outside. He needs that to lift his spirits! The feedstore didn't get all of their shipment, so I have to wait till tomorrow to pick up the GLW babies to add to Livvie's one-egg-clutch. I think I'll go back to bed-had a headache all night and it's not going away, so maybe that's the best thing to do. I'll report in later today if there's anything new to report. Thanks for the good morning, Carrie!

Hey Cyn! Sorry you're feeling under the weather today.

It probably doesn't help with it being overcast outside. I hope it clears up so Zane can get his outside time in.

Hope everyone at your house is feeling better soon. Guess what, we had snow all day yesterday!!!! But today is sunny, sure to melt the white stuff away. At least you have green stuff growing. My flock was none too happy to find snow everywhere yesterday morning.

I will put all of you in my prayers. When my barred rock died, her best friend, a RIR was depressed for days. It was so sad to see the RIR foraging by herself, keeping to herself after the loss of her buddy. After about a week, she incorporated herself into the rest of the flock and took on a leadership role with the younger ones. I hope all will work out for you.

I hope you aren't getting our weather? It is overcast and a steady rain. Makes you want to stay in bed.

How are dear Lorelei and Zane this morning? Is everyone else doing ok?

Bad, rainy day. No outside for Zane today, either. Bummer. He's still hanging in there. Maybe I'll bring him in the house and put him on a towel in the livingroom so he can be with mom and dad. He and Lorelei still kicking.
