Zane Made REAL Progress (New Pics Pg 99)!RIP Lorelei...

well i personally hope it rains a few inches today. you can put Zane inside and let him watch Chick Flicks all day and maybe that will get his libido back up and take his mind off his handicap. we need rain, bad!

Would you like Slifer's diaper for him?

More hugs and prayers for all of you.

LOL, S.C., I think DH would draw the line at a diaper on a chicken! I put the big beach towel on the rug in the livingroom and Zane got to watch soaps. Gee, hope his IQ didn't go down too many points, LOL.

He is fascinated with TV. He didn't poop at all in the house, either. Should be interesting for him tomorrow since he is living right above Olivia and her new chicks in the broody pen below. Maybe the cheeping will stimulate him a little, pique his interest.

I hope so, Cyn. Stimulating him would probably be a good thing! It might even help raise his IQ back to where it was before the soaps!

Sending hugs for everyone!

Ha, I love the idea of Zane recouping in the house watching t.v. Maybe he would like Animal Planet? That is just great knowing he is in with you guys. It might be just the thing he needs. Prayers to you

Cyn so sorry you are going thur this. I live with pain every day. I have fibro and RSV (perment nerve damage in my left arm from neck to fingertip) been going on for ten years, and if that boy has nerve damage God love him that he even moves at all. I will tell you about nerve damage just so you can understand what he might be going thur.

If you have ever had a tooth ache where when you open your mouth and the air hits it the pain sends you out of your mind. That is pain from nerve damage only up it by about 300%. This pain hits you so fast and changes so often that there is really no way to get a handle on it. Something as simple as someone walking 10 feet from you will set it off. The movement changes the air around you and that changed air sets you on a new pain level. If you would hurt and that would be it you could get a handle on it but with it changing so fast and so furious there is nothing but challenge to trying to handle it.

I pray that this baby is not feeling nerve damage. It sounds to me like maybe something was out of the socket. I have that in my right shoulder and knee, when they come out and go back in, it is weeks of a harsh ache. Weather effects all pain, bad weather brings it on and good weather is a change so it is a challenge again. If ya give him time and keep his nutrients up (yes folks lack of nutrients can increase pain problems by causing muscle spasms and they can cause bones to leave the socket) he can heal enough to pull through this.

Praying for you Lady chick

Praying for you and yours Cyn hang in there

That sounds awful, Zoo. I have had tooth sensitivity like that, so I get what you're saying. OUCH! We'll give Zane time to heal, as long as he shows he has the spirit to keep going like he is. He's a sweet boy and well worth the time and trouble. I'm still holding out hope that he'll take his rightful place as head of this crew of nutty chicken-women some day soon. Thanks for the encouragement!

Hey it has been 10 years of this for me you don't get use to this but you learn to live with it. I just wanted to let ya know what the poor guy might just be going thru.

I will tell ya that it causes you to really enjoy the moments that make life so special. Maybe I was moving to fast and needed to slow down and enjoy life more. At least that is what I now do. I take every moment and wring everything special out of it. I enjoy the very small stuff as long as I can. Simple stuff like watching my 1 year old Grandson discover bugs for the first time and the look on his face when one moment it is there and then he blinked and where did it go. And his 3 year old sister and some of the things that come out of her mouth LOL. I was so busy trying to raise 4 kids on my own that somehow I missed so much and now I have to make it up with my Grandkids, well if it took perminent pain for that then it is worth it.

Enjoy every moment and thanks for the prayers, don't forget every pain is a life lesson and sometimes we need them to grow for the better, one day at a time works and if one day is to much take it one minute at a time. Just make sure you wring everything out of that minute.
