Thanks, all. I'm back for the rest of the weekend. My dad had his leg taken above the knee, no complications. They said his heart is like an 18 yr olds' and that the irregular beating was just from the meds combining. He was still out of it with pain meds 3 hrs afterward and I was getting a lovely headache, so came home.

SOME REALLY GOOD NEWS NOW>>>>>>>>>> ZANE is CROWING!! I came home to a Zane with good color, straighter comb (was curling over at the tips), heavier body AND he's crowing and putting weight on his right foot. If the left would just get a little stronger, I think he'll be standing before too long! This is a real answer to prayer for that boy. My sweet Zane is BACK!

I know it's a long emotional rollercoaster for my dad, so I really dont know what to say about him. If the aneurysm had blown all that poison upward instead of down the leg, he'd already be gone. The doc seems to think he wont need much help recovering physically from the actual surgery, which only took maybe 45 minutes.
