Two bad. We are in a drought too and it's coming to me today. Was suppose to wait until two o'clock to start but some is about to start early. As of right now..... We've been in a drought at our place. It's rained several times on the other side of town but not here. It maybe to late for the cotton and peanut farmers around me this year.

Yeah I know. Must be rare. I'd never heard of a fairy egg until I got my chickens this time around. I wonder if they are more common in layers that were bred up to lay a lot fast early in their life span. My old line white rocks never laid one and the Delawares didn't as far as I know. It was only the high performance RIR girls and then about 1 out of 10 hens laid one. A hen's fairy egg like mine were closer to the size of a quarter in length. A little shorter than that but not a whole lot.

10 years of keeping white leghorns and ISA brown, not a single fairy egg. First summer with the landraces, I got a fairy egg
