Here's the Cream Legbar hen I'm gonna breed him to. Sorry her head is blurry, it's the only pic I have of her so far. Her name is Lydia:
She still looks a little rough. I got her from my neighbor who was having the same problem as me with predators, and this girl, along with a black copper Marans girl were the only birds she had left. They were traumatized and not eating, so they were extremely malnourished and underweight. Lydia didn't have any tail feathers, either. I fed them my homemade "mash", have them some nutridrench and a safe, warm coop to sleep in. The Marans girl didn't make it, she was too far gone already, but Lydia improved quickly and is turning out to be a great little girl. I'm very proud of her for pulling thru. She did not look this good when I got her, that's for sure. She still needs to gain some weight, but I'm very pleased with her progress.
