I just hatched out my first zombie cross with a Leghorn hen and Cemani Roo.
One chick is white with white skin, the other is black with purplish skin…. Can some explain why they aren’t coming out fibro with white feathers?

Thanks.

Sounds like your white Leghorn is actually a paint Leghorn. It has a copy of Dominant white and a copy of black, so half it's offspring will be paint and half will be black.
The chick with white skin is male.
It is a sexlinked cross. Males have white skin, females black.
Only half your female chicks will be paint and the other half will be black.

Does this mean the half that are paint and female should end up with the fibro skin and paint feathering like a Zombie?

Thanks for your reply! I can't find anything online about paint leghorns being a thing. If this is so, would the female paint offspring end up with fibro skin and show up looking like a "Zombie"?

Leghorn colors can be mixed together, plus there is the chance she's a crossbreed like an Ideal 236 or something
