Has anyone used this lamp for their brooder? Made for reptiles, I like it because it is made from real glass, not painted or red stain. And it is all red, right up to the socket, so no "white light" at all.

Yes, my daughter used to breed bearded dragons. I used one of her heat lamps for the chicks. Just watch that the chicks do not get over heated, and have a place to get out of the heat.
