    Our hens were hatched on March 18, 2009. we got our first egg on Sept 2nd, one day shy of six months old and they have been steadily laying since.

    we have 4 barred rock hens and got our first egg the day before they were 6 months old. that was on 9-2-09, over the next twelve days we got 14. we are now getting 3 eggs daily fairly regularly.

    I have a question about little goats

    we have three and they are very good escape artists. there are panels that will hold them and once they figure out they can't get out they are content, but believe me if there is any possible way out they will find it immediately, lol
