I've moved them like that, and if you make sure you can always see them in the mirror, or have a spotter with you it doesn't hurt as long as you go slow, cows are not marathon runners.
But we had plans for the little guy and he was our first and only calf.
We had a calf. He and his mama got out last week and a neighbor tried to be helpful and tied them to his truck and drove them home. Apparently he fell and the guy dragged him all the way home, he was dead when he got to our house. Said sorry, didn't offer any reimbursement.
Wanting them just to have and maybe breed, that's why I'd like good ones and not just from the commercial hatchery. Also for 4h for my daughter I'd like reds and silver Grey, whatever I can find too.
Thanks for the info, I'll keep my eyes open.
I've killed 2 coons and at least 2 possums this year. Hadn't had any in a couple of years. Also there is a fox in the neighborhood. I saw it grab 2 chickens one day. I hadn't seen it around or lost any chickens in a couple weeks, I thought it was gone. Saw it in the field across the road yesterday.
Can anyone give me a rough price they charge for dressed turkey? We did CX chickens for the first time this year. They sold "ok" at $3/lb. but we live in a poorer area and didn't have the interest that I thought we would. I don't want to price myself out of the market on my turkeys.
Thanks

If I apply for a license to sell eggs at a farmers market, can my farm be inspected? I don't have anything to hide, I just...
