You might want to start a new thread on winter housing for your ducks (I know nothing about it as I live in bermuda!) it is pretty important to have some good winter housing as muscovys are tropical ducks.

I've got a question about my muscovy ducks: When you clip a ducks wings will the new flight feathers grow over the old clipped ones or will they grow in when the old clipped feathers fall out? And when should I clip the new flight feathers if they are growing in?

Is 6 and a half pounds a normal weight for a mature muscovy drake?
