Thank you! I don't think it bothers them any; they don't seem to avoid it at all or walk particularly gingerly across it. They spend most of the day on the grass (what shows in the video is maybe a quarter of my main yard) and just pass over the driveway to get to their backup buckets or one of...
She got sidetracked by something in the pen, and hung out in there for a few minutes to pik-poke at it and consider its merits as possibly-food while everyone else wandered off to play in a puddle!
They're all supposed to be runners, but I'm pretty sure one of the drakes is a part-time Cayuga or something. That or he's just hilariously fat...
Yeah, although they weren't nearly as tiny when I got them. I think they were 2 weeks old when we picked them up? The youngins were 3 days old when...
Yeah, they've been working on the "in-ground pool" for a while. At this point I might just dig out that hole the rest of the way and sink the pond-liner there. I always love to see your ducks fly! They're so graceful! Mine try all the time, but they're kind of chubby, and they usually don't...

Heard somebody around here likes chubby ducks?
I don't even have to call them anymore... they just charge when they see me, in case I have treats The whole yard is slowly draining after some flooding on Monday. You can see the platform we made them in the back of the pen in case they needed...
The ducks seem pretty happy about their little pond being de-iced! You can see the giant chunks we had to pull out; we had to spray hot water into the pond under a hold formed, then lever a big stick into it to haul the whole thing out. Tedious. But now there's a heater dealie in there that'll...
