I finally got to see my girls :D
Here is a few photos... They are cell phone photos so sorry about the bad looking pics.
Would this be okay to house silkies, or something simular and a little bigger?

A few weeks ago I got a phone call from my mum, saying that one of my girls has gone missing.
I cried for days.
Charlotte was only 6 months old when she went missing as I don't live at home anymore and trusted my mum to look after my flock.
Charlotte and I were very close couldn't be without...
I love how I can trust my 12 year old cat with my chickens.
She has never tried to harm any of my birds.
If anything she protects them :)
She's such a good guard cat lols :)
Here is photo of my cat Poe and my chicken Charlotte
As soon as the chicken coop door opens, the stink eyes begin.
After the morning treats straight to the water they go

I lost one of my girls over a month ago.
She was a silkie and was broody at the time.
My mum noticed that her eggs were gone.
No cracked shells or anything.
Near her nest I found lots of her down feathers and some of her saddle feathers.
But her body was not in my yard.
No blood, only...
This sweet picture of my hen Rose and one of my chicks.
She always cuddles up to this chick even at night in the coop ( she didn't hatch the chick)
I think she's finally warmed up to them.
I just love that all my birds so affection to each other and are total love bugs.
I have a feeling my girl is molting for the first time.
How long will it take for the feathers to grow back?
Is there anything special I should do food wise for her?
Here's a picture...
(She's wet from a bath, as I didn't notice she was molting til after I got her out of the water)
This chicks are only just over 7 weeks old.
I know it's way to early, but I would like peoples opinions on the gender of these little beauties.
I also will put above the photos, my guess of the gender.
I feel I have 1 cockerel and 3 pullets.
In a few weeks I will update this thread with...
This chick is 7 weeks old, its a Silkie, and still very young, but it's comb/wattles is screaming rooster at me.
I'm keeping an eye on this chick as I cannot keep roosters.
My other 3 chicks, still have very small combs and are not turning red-ish.
I know it's way to early to know for sure but...
These beauties are just over 3 weeks old now.
But I'm going to start with the 1 day old pictures.
Prepare for cuteness.
One week old.
2 weeks.
And a group shot at 3 weeks.
