Hello!!!... To All Of You Fine People Of BYC
First let me say that I am so impressed with this forum. Just reading all the questions and answers has helped me with incubating and making my chicks arrival on this earth as stress free as possible. This group is so...
Food saver is what I use....
The reason I'm responding to you is because of that positive attitude you have for being your first one...I always say...Mind over matter...
I never....ever thought I could raise my own meat...
However.... I just treated them with respect... fed them well...and...
I concur with the group...Under the tree makes perfect sense to me!!!!
Shade = cooler... on hot days....
Also...Welcome to the best group on the net!!!!!
Edited to add on the welcome
I wish her the best....
I had to take my female Khaki's eggs away because the flies were swarming and it was past 30 days. She was diligent...She actually started putting leafs on top her back to camouflage herself.
I'm sorry to hear you are loosing so many ducks. Do they have somewhere to go...
I know...it's difficult to not want to pick them up and love them.
There going to arrive a bit sell shocked from the trip...plus just pipping out of there cozy shell...
Before you know it they will be running, hopping and playing with each other.
Of course...they are your chicks...
It's looks like your ready for them...You'll be fine...
Just give them time to adjust after there long travel...
What I do is check on them often, and leave them alone for the first day. I just make sure there warm and comfortable, dry, clean, waters ok and that there eating and drinking on...
