I know this is an old thread, but I'm in Anna We are new to chickens this year and have a variety of breeds like silkies, duccle's, polish, barred rock, OEGB, etc.

I thought our run was secure, but we lost our entire flock to racoons in the middle of the day.

We're in the same predicament. I thought 6 weeks sounded like plenty of time, but now they're nearly 8 weeks, and it's still not finished It is getting close though. I'm hoping this weekend it'll be close enough to move them outside.

Well, I think we're going to have a little splash EE. She's got pretty grey feathers coming in here and there. Can't wait to see how she turns out!

Anyone's EE look similar to this as a chick? I have three that look similar, except the other two have black/grey tones in their wings instead of brown.

This Bantam EE is so precious! I originally named her Bunny because I thought it'd be a cute name for a white chick, but now every time I look at her face, she reminds me of a little dragon. I'm thinking about naming her Dracarys after Game Of Thrones

Adam, the one on the right is the closest in color I've seen to mine. Such cute little ones! I'm going to just assume she's blue though since it seems genetically unlikely that she's lavender.

I honestly know nothing about the genetics behind lavender, just that its not common. I assumed it was a dilute like blue? I will be thrilled if she turns out blue too. It'll be interesting to watch the progression as she grows.

Just got this little one yesterday, and I'm trying to decide what color he/she is. Whatever it is, it's beautiful! Splash? Lavender maybe?
