I have a three gallon water bowl with rocks in it currently but was wondering when would be a safe time to remove them. I included a picture of one of them in the bowl for reference.
Does handling cockerels often make them aggressive? I have some 6 week old gamefowl chicks that are super friendly (especially a couple of the cockerels) am I risking making them mean by petting them and hand feeding them treats?
I have this 4 week old gamefowl chick that’s throwing me for a loop. I can tell who’s pullet/cockerel on all the others except this one. His comb is as small as my pullets but his color says cockerel to me.
I have 12 4 week old chicks and it’s getting super warm where I am (today was 93) however it does cool off a bit at night time. I was wondering the best time to remove their brooder plate.
After multiple tornado warnings I finally lost power but I am currently brooding 12 two week old chicks under a brooder plate but now they don’t have any heat source and theres no news on when it will be back on. Their brooder is outside but has plastic wrapped around it so no wind can blow on...
I have 5 game hens (one doesn’t have pictures yet) and I can’t remember what breed he said they were (not familiar with game birds) Any helps appreciated.
I just hatched 12 game chicks and was curious if anyone could tell what color they could possibly be when they feather out. I don’t know anything about gamebirds so I don’t know their breed to be able to help much. Any guesses are appreciated!!
This chick just hatched but his stomach has a red spot hanging out. I’m really worried about the little guy. I’m also worried about him dragging that around on the incubator floor. Please help!! I don’t want to lose him:hit

I have 12 game bird eggs going into lockdown today and it’s so exciting. I’m looking forward to meeting these new babies and seeing what colors they turn out to be. It’s also the first time i’ve hatched eggs that weren’t from my own flock! I’m super excited i’m going to set up the brooder later...
I have two eggs developing with air sacks on the side of the egg. They are on day 16 and developing really good but are the air sacks bad? These are two different eggs
I’m incubating a batch of chicks and they only have one week leftish and was thinking of using a heat plate for the first time. The brand I was planning on using is Producer’s Pride is it any good? And how do you introduce chicks to a heat plate? There’s also going to be around 12 chicks is one...

I have a quail who was fine yesterday but her eye seems to have been attacked and she’s covered in blood. I do not know if she’s still has her eye. I have her in my bedroom with food and some water with electrolytes. I don’t really know how to treat a wound this bad. Here’s what I have on hand...
Are coturnix quail cold hardy? Where I live the absolute coldest it will get is 30s in the days and maybe 15 at night but again this is on out coldest days. Typically it’s 40s in the days and high 20s/low 30s at night. Do I need to winterize their coop? Or will they be ok?
Does anyone have birds of this cross? Or any pictures? These would be sex linked right?
What’s about a Jersey Giant x Rhode Island red? I’m thinking about breeding these breeds together in the spring just curious how they’d turn out. Thinking they’d be large birds that are hardy and laid well.
