I went to put the chciekns away and when I lifted my 7/8 year old barred rock fluid came out her mouth. Clear, maybe a hint of yellow bu i think that was the lighting. Anywyas went to check her crop and her entire chest f filled with a fluid. What is happening please help!!!!!

You did not fail her, in fact you helped her. To keep her suffering and in pain would have been so much harder on her and eventually she'd have thought it was cruel to keep her in that state. You loved her and that's why it had to be done. Might I add that she was a very beautiful hen.

You could try a see no touch thing with the hen but I worry that it could be late for the roos. Maybe he can have his own flock in a diffrent yard?
