    Silkies Of A Different Color

Oooohhh I like her a lot!!! She would fit right in with my little wild things!!! Ha Ha! Ha! Thanks for the compliments. I think she would be considered a lavender partridge. Her daddy is lavender (or correctly self blue) and her Momma is golden partridge/lavender split. I've been working...

    Silkies Of A Different Color

Well, she has penciling for sure. I can't remember what the other is called. Each wing feather is outlined and she has the waves across her chest. Anyway, she has two different type designs, It might be mottling, but I think that is more random. Her markings are very structured if that makes any...

    Silkies Of A Different Color

Jas do you know what the parents of your chick might be? Could the barring on the wing tips and tail be from possible partridge breeding? Thanks, my boy is about 4 1/2 to 5 months in that picture. I too have one with the gray head and some gray undercoat. You can tell the gray next to the pure...

    Silkies Of A Different Color

I like the way you take your pictures and have the ages and all. This will be very beneficial to folks in this thread and others. Okay, I had a very similar chick that I called a red paint. I think it looks more like a red splash as you have said though I have not ever heard of that. My little...

    Porcelain Project

It was just a small show. Smaller even than the turnout at last year's show. The largest variety was gray which had 4 in it, 3 of which were mine. Most of the other colors had two on average which was in the blue cream. Your blue cream babies would have beaten my sweet baby. She has more buff...

    Porcelain Project

OK I took 7 to the show. Four firsts and one second, one third and one fourth. The second, third and fourth were my grays competing against each other. My pictures didn't come out well because the barn was so dark, but I will post the porcelain baby's pictures here since it is the porcelain...

    Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Yes, the brown chipmunk is a partridge, and the one farthest right might be blue or maybe silver partridge. Does it have any striping? Far left possibly blue, and the stacked pair might be blue cream (porcelain). Just my opinion from chicks I have had hatch out that were colored similar to yours.

Your girls are all very beautiful! That little splash looking right at the camera, posing like a little diva - adorable! Yes, I think we have. I need to go back over several threads to catch up. Why did you get rid of your partridge? Just didn't want another color? I like that little black a lot...

Thank you! All of my chickens have Catdance lines! Ha! Ha! They are just the best. My originals came from eggs Karen shipped to me - several years ago now. Do you show Chickee? Do you have any pictures you can post of them? Shoot maybe you have already. I need to back up on this thread and look...
