    Roosts

    that depends really on how many chickens you have that will be roosting....but the bottom roost should be at least a foot or two of the ground or bottom of coop and then put about 12-16 inches between each roost bar as you go up

    Can chickens and meat rabbits be raised together? I was thinking about putting up some hanging rabbit cages in my coop house but wasn't sure if that was ok with mixing them and the chickens together like that.

    Dogs good with chickens

    I have a female German Shepherd that is excellent with my chickens....I let her go inside pens with me and she just lays down and watches them and has even herded them inside the coop at dusk for me. I could not ask for a better dog to have with my chickens.

    Do they lay year round in Arkansas or they seasonally here too...i just acquired some that are a little over a year old and also do they lay on ground or do you need to place a brush pile in the pen with them to make a nest?
