    I find with my females they tend to develop their comb and their comb colors when they are getting closer to pol. My boys start to comb up earlier.

    My blue isbar that hatched out at the end of September just laid her first little egg...I have not even set them up to lay yet...They are in the babies house~ LOL. I guess they are not such babies anymore...and it was 20 degrees here! Very pleased.

    I received my blue isbar hen and my black isbar hen on 2/19. My Blue gal started laying in early August and my black one end of August. So, around six months of age.

    They are generally small 4+pounds. Handle him a lot and he will be a sweet baby.

    If you've got a hona much more rare than the isbar. I paid 3x as much for my hona's then I did my isbars. However, My they all live together. Shoot the legs and feet for us..

    Looks like a Cemani cockerel...or hona. They start showing comb formation in the first couple weeks. Are the legs dark and feet dark...that will rule out more of the isbar showing.
