    Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

I counted candling as cool off period. I hand turned my eggs so I opened the incubator a lot. If you do a Google image search for 'Muscovy egg development' you'll find several good images charting growth and air sack development. I found them helpful. Good luck with your eggs, hope you have a...

    Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

My eggs hatched! Well one egg hatched perfectly the other duckling ended up dying. I made airholes after both internally pipped. The one that is alive hatched unassisted. The second sounded like it was drowning. Lots of liquid in the egg. Hours later he hatched completely. The duckling was tiny...

    Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

I have had good luck with shipped eggs in the past. I just didn't think that 7 non fertile eggs out of 12 not counting the 2 extras were a great deal. I would call sending out half an order of non fertile eggs a rip off and dishonesty on the side of the seller. I hate to clutter this great...

    Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

I wish I had recieved 14 fertile eggs but only 7 had signs of any fertility. Yes I got 2 extra eggs but what good did that do? Out of the 7 4 we're looking like they had something going at day 14 but now at day 18 I only have 2 eggs that I'm certain will make it unless something unforseen...

You should definitely sell your product. Sellers definitely deserve to make money, I just took umbrage to the sentiment of be happy you got something.

    Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

Yeah eggs aren't really like other items you buy. You have to believe a seller's fertility claims and only leave feedback on the condition off the eggs when they arrive.

I wish I could get some Muscovy's locally. I will still buy shipped chicken eggs but these ducks are proving tough.

    Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

I don't think I would call 4 viable eggs out of 14 excellent. It' sure is a big risk for the buyers of shipped eggs and we do take that risk willingly, but I think a little sympathy can be shown for buyers who pay for eggs and shipping and in the end get a disappointing hatch result. You're a...

    Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

Ugh I'm so bummed. I candied my eggs at 7 days and only 4 show any signs of developing. That's a really bad result out of 14 eggs. Several have half blood rings and others show nothing. Think I should complain to the ebay seller?

Thank you so much! At what day did you start cooling and misting and doing XO? Day 15? I've had good success hatching chicken eggs but I'm a nervous first time duck hatcher.

    Incubation progress of Muscovy eggs

First time hatching Muscovy eggs and I need somebody to hold me! I've read Yinepu's wonderful guide but I'm still nervous. I set my shipped eggs on Thursday and I haven't touched them. I set them upright in a cardboard egg container in my incubator and I'm going to weigh them so that I can judge...
