I was just notified that the Sultans I bought might be crosses with a Sicilian Buttercup! Weird. They are resending me another doz now that they removed the SB.

The eggs are set. I will know how the initial prognosis looks this weekend when I candle. I have made arrangements for them to have bantam cochin buddies. Its my hope that the laid back cochins and the laid back Sultans will all hang out saying, dude all day with teach other.

Are these birds fliers? I didn't think of chickens flying very far esp with crests. My other chickens will make a flying dash somewhere and if they launch from the fence top they can fly up to 20 feet which really is more of a gradual crashing but... Sultans?

I did it! I found eggs and bought some to incubate... of course I have to hope they hatch but they are standard Sultans so... YEY Are they like most crested breeds- laid back?

I have tried several times to obtain sultans here in state but am not succeeding. So... byc to the rescue. Given my location does anyone have suggestions? I would prefer eggs so that I can hatch and raise them myself ... and keep my NPIP standing.
