I have 3 of the "Red Pullets" from TSC this spring I can let go. They are 3.5 months old now. There is also a rooster that was called a pullet. PM for details if you are interested.

If it woulda happened last week, I was up there turkey hunting, but I am nto going this weekend, I gave up on them, they weren't cooperating. Proably closer to the end of the May, or maybe early June, unless I head up to fish ont he Spring one afternoon in the coming weeks, I will let you know...

Here is some good news... the poison has not gotten anybody... yet. Al are acting normal, no bleeding, not weird behavior, but I know that can change at any time, but I am still optimistic. Arkansas81 when I come thru Batesville, I can bring you a few BCM eggs if you want.

I hate to admit this, but... When my dog got into the chicken coop, it did not stop. i eventually had to "discipline" my dog with one of the chickens she had enjoyed, and then made her sit there and look at it for almost an hour. This harsh treatment seemed to work. It has been almost 3 years...

All are still alive this morning, might be OK, but then again... Hope I don't have to go to Attwoods to get replacements.

OK, this afternoon sucked!!! BIG TIME!!! I was outside in the shop and garden when I hear this pecking in the shop. I go look inside, and what do I see? 4 or so, of my 2 month old chicks pecking away at a try of D-con. I get them out as soon as I can, but after doing a little research, I fear...

I got rid of my 4 BCM's. Problem is I came 3 Austerlops, and a mutt. So no reduction in numbers here, but new birds.

I was told no fee. And i don't know about testers. I did not ask that question. I was told to just show up with chicks and/or plants and get with it.

Woke up this morning to another BCM in the bator, Got 2 peepers running around now, with 2 that have just started. Maybe I'll have 4 when I get home this evening.

I have 1 bcm out of the shell already, and another pip! I can't wait for the surprise when we get home from the CARTI Rajun Cajun crawfish boil tonight.

I should have some BCM's hatching on Friday/Saturday. I am east of the LR airport in Scott.

I candeled my 8 BCM and 3 yard variety eggs int he incubater this weekend. I am now down to 1 yard variety and 6 BCM's. Should be hatching this Friday, I can't wait.

21 days I should have a few more BCM's to add to the flock, or maybe let someone else start a BCM group of their own.

no problems here with the Purina medicated feed. I use Dumor laying pellets, and seem to do just fine, but I also give most of the table scraps to the birds (not the dog) along with the bigs they get from the yard.
