Yes I will post first thing in morning so sorry I didn't get back sooner.i can say he is around 7 months old , he's a pekin. I feed them pellets, peas , boiled eggs, meal worms, frozen corn (thawed) umm he doesn't really do it all the time. But he does it. That's what worried me. Will send pics...
Ok thanks so much. I don't think it looks infected but I'm sure he broke it off in the quick. (I think that's how I say it) it's really short.lol thanks I did start putting brewers yeast in his food again today and will continue doing so. I have young mallards too so that will help them all.
My duck has been chasing his foot I've looked at it and don't see anything wrong with it. Please watch the video of him and tell me if your duck has ever done this. Thanks
Can anyone tell me if they have had the similar problem, when my pekin drake is mating my duck she quacks like he's killing her. (Really loud). Totally different with my mallards. So don't know if he's hurting her?
I don't think he's over mating her. Believe it or not she's the one who instigates it. I just don't know. We are bringing her in and clean her wound and keeping her in thru the night tonight. Thanks alot
Please help my two pekins have recently started breeding. They are still getting the hang off it. I get up this morning to find what looks like his claws have ripped threw her flesh. What do I put on it and what can I do.
I have a 6 month old drake and duck pekin. This morning I wake up to her quacking like I've never heard before. I thought something was wrong. But when I look the drake has her on the ground on her back. (We know what was happening ) my question is will she always act like he's killing her...
my drake has been acting a little strange he'll pull his neck down to his chest and fluff his head feathers. I'm thinking it's because he's going threw the change he's getting to be a big boy now and I'm hoping that's what it is. He'll only do it around us or the other ducks please helpboth...
