Back again for some good advice.
This same Peacock is looking sick again this week. I noticed over the weekend that he wasn't eating quite up to normal. One thing I did find he would eat were some green weeds that were starting to grow that I grabbed a handful and threw it for them.
Last night I noticed he didn't fly up to roost and spent the night on the ground.
After this episode, in Oct, about 6 weeks later, just before Christmas he went this way again. I gave him the Safeguard liquid for 5 days straight into his mouth. I gave him 1.2-1.3ml every day and buy the 5th day he was feeling better and later recovered 100%.
So again, 6-7weeks later he's back with the weekend behavior.
My other male has shown no signs of any weekend behavior and for the last 10 days or so, gives me his full feather strut almost every time I go out there.
My sick male I have noticed, often is pecking/eating the poop on the ground from the night before. I haven't noticed the healthy one doing that, so I don't know if that is one of the causes.
I know I can give him more Safeguard 1.8-2.0ml without concern, but would this work, to give him more than his weight prescribes?
Could the worms just be mostly killed off and 6-7 weeks is what it takes for them to make a full comeback?
