They all love it! We found it in the dollar section at the hardware store. Best dollar I ever spent. So much bigger than the bird mirrors in the pet section, and cheaper too!
Svetlana is doing much better. She has been interacting normally with the others. Playing chase, eating and drinking great, and checking herself out in the mirror. Hopefully she just had something in her eye or got pecked. Will repeat the lubricant ointment tomorrow if it's still irritated.

I had three trays of eggs fall into the bator today, some are probably too old, procrastinated setting, have four dozen serama to set later tonight too.

i would put turkey eggs under her, good luck!i have a muscovy hen that has been laying for the past week and a half and is now trying to go broody on a ceramic egg but we dont have a drake should i put some turkey or chicken eggs under her??
WOOHOOOO!!!Ok so interesting update on my rescued duck eggs! I candled them when I moved them into the incubator with 11 out of 13 showing veins and heartbeating blobs, and guessed them at around a week or so old (this was Sunday).
Now last night I candled again and SURPRISE! one of the "duds" is now growing! Wee little veins and heart are there trying to catch up with the others lol! I guess it was one of the outer eggs in the nest and just didn't get the right temps to grow till the incubator? So now this poses a problem with hatching day doesn't it? Any suggestions?
Can't wait for the Halloween HAL, maybe someday I'll buy some of those amazing CCL eggs from you, or make the drive and buy live birds LOLhttps://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...n-chat-meet-new-friends-w-host-sally-sunshine

Some of my silkies that have hatched..one was in a cup with booties..out now walking great.
I had a hard time finding pure turkey eggs so didn't set any this year.
