I just recieved 5 chicks in my order with large combs. Do I really have to worry about frostbite? I live where it gets down below freezing at times. thanks

If gets down in the single digits Fahrenheit or their heads get wet when it is well below freezing, then they might get frostbite on their combs.

I don't think you will have a problem in Tennessee.

Ditto.

Plus Cochins shouldn't actually have large combs, though hatchery-based ones might. I wouldn't worry though. As long as your birds have a well insulated coop and your winters aren't North Dakota insane, I'd think you are fine.
