I'm in Maryland, and it's snowed/icy down here yesterday. I put my ducks away, half way through the day, when it started to snow (I don't think they were too happy lol). And today, since it's not snowing/icing, I figured I could let them out awhile.
They seem ok, foraging as usual, not confused by the snow. I'm just worried, even though they've got feathers to keep warm, if they'll even be warm enough.... their pen is above ground, and I had to make a ramp (best I could) incase they wanna go in and get warm under the heatlamp.
Will they be ok.

Giving them a heat lamp is worse on their health than the cold temps and ice and snow. They wear down under those feathers and going from heated coop to cold outside can be detrimental, as long as they have a dry place with plenty of bedding I'd take out the heat lamp They will go in if they need to just keep the door open for them and make sure they have fresh food and fresh water.
