I'm on my way to Pa. this week for Muscovy duckings. That has Ariel so excited she wants to go along but she's needed at home. I'll be home for evening chores because I'll be leaving very early. These folks won't ship sucks to this part of WV...perhaps no part of the state due to postal irregularities I think. If not for Ariel, I wouldn't bother.
Gosh, some of us actually have our hands full breeding chickens for eggs and meat. Personally I'm trying to deal with an insane amount of rain that we've gotten here plus building housing for an overwhelming number of chicks I'm growing out. I actually will need some advice here in a little while because I'm going to want input on which GNH cockerel to keep...
There are natural ebbs and flows in anything, but this is a great thread with a lot of folks who care a lot about it, even when your Dad isn't here - I'm not sure it's a fair representation, or fair to think that something horrendous has happened because it gets a little slow. People get busy. Good grief.
First rain free day (so far) in a long time, off to refresh everyone's bedding - 3" rain in an hour, with sideways rain, makes it hard to keep ANY bedding dry. I think I'm going to need to treat for Cocci - I suspect some may have it (it's been impossible to keep ANYTHING dry - hey, at least I wasn't ordered to evacuate). Would be surprised if they didn't. This weather is nuts.
