I have a Rooster I city limits. I have a citation. My Roo and his mate are sultans..listed on AG end

Thank you everyone for your encouragement. The court date has been set over for this Wednesday. I've written to the City Manager and to the Conservancy which referred me to a lady who leads the way to backyard flock legalization. All positive feedback! I've "played" with a couple rooster collars and quite honestly am having a very hard time with it. Mr. Rooster (that's his name) either walks backwards with it on or seems like he isn't getting enough oxygen and lays down...Yes, lays down, head to the floor and falls to sleep. At that point I can't get that thing off of him fast enough! I'm such a sap when it comes to these things. I can't stand to see anything suffer!
Any suggestions on the collars?

Chickens seem to respond to things by backing up, bucking and laying down. I put saddles on several hens because the roosters were imjuring their backs. You would have thought it was a rodeo from all of the jumping, bucking and rolling around that went on. They settled down and have been just fine once they got accustomed to the saddles.

I have a silkie bantam rooster and I could never get the No Crow Collar to work. Sad. It's a great idea just wish it worked or I can buy something that will help out rooster crowing.
