Not in a mood to bake...will tomorrow make sourdough bread..
I am researching Chicken Bedding for the coop. We have been using 1st cup hay and I am not happy with it. It STINKS. too much odor. I found Industrial Hemp Bedding. More expensive...
but "they" say no odor after 18 months. Has anyone had experience with Industrial Hemp Bedding? Thanks Aria

No, I've never used it.

Never have due to cost but have read good things about it.

IgorsMistress, they said the hemp will last longer and only need
little topping and the same Hemp can be used in the coop 18 months to 2 years. I am not sure? Need more research. And my husband will NOT want that COST. EEK......no decision yet. Aria

That's what I had read too. I think it depends on how many chickens you have and how much time they spend in the coop though.

My flock, they are only 4 months old now, spend a goid part of the day in the coop and there are a dozen birds. I used 2 bales of wood shavings from TSC and it has been wet down several times. Haven't had to add to it yet, just stir and it has been a month.

The cost savings could be huge depending.
