Any Home Bakers Here?

UPS driver called on Tuesday. He remembered exactly where he left it — at my next-door neighbor’s. He knew where I was and could only apologize for his mistake. Very nice guy; hard to get mad at a human the way I can at a machine.

I let him know the neighbor had dropped it off. I’ll thank them when I see them next.
Our UPS guys are nice. In the summer if we see them we will give them a water bottle.

@ronott1 I have received the sourdough starter.

My plan from here on out is to only use a little bit of the starter you gave me, and get that established into a bubbly starter. I’ll save the rest of the dried starter for reserves in case the starter goes bad again or if a spill happens again.

Quick question, though. Do you store dried starter in the freezer or just anywhere?

Air fryers.
DD2 wants one.
Any brands/models I should consider/avoid?
My only experience with an air fryer is the lid for my Instant Pot. I like it a lot! We now air fry the potatoes we used to bake in the oven for an hour.

I just had a thought... air fried butternut squash! Anyone done that? Recipe?

This was what I did this morning Apple pie doughnuts and apple pie itself .. I gave away the air fryer we bought..
Just extra in the cupboard not being used.

I keep the dried starter in a ziplock bag on the to of the fridge.

It keeps for years that way!
