O.O.... Well then, I'm IN! 6 eggs from my black copper marans and Prince... 4 boo eggs from Snowflake and Bruce, and of course 2 from Charlie and Henrietta (Prince's parents). The Beilefelders will have to wait since I wasn't saving up her eggs... bad momma, bad bad.

Whew! I finally candled, washed, labeled and set 22 chicken eggs. (pedigrees in my profile banner photo.
*****edited to add, cracked one. May replace it tomorrow

I didn't realize eggs for incubation could be washed. I thought I read they can't be washed or it'll take the film off the outside that helps them hatch. How did you wash them? I have two more eggs I'd like to put in the incubator today but somehow the girls pooped in the nest and got it on the eggs and I'd love to wash that off before putting them in the incubator.
