awwww.... I just got off the floor, I was playing with those little red plastic mock blocks that make a farm and the directions/box are long gone, and half the pcs, so we ended up with a very very odd barn and farmyard, I said undermybreath as I attempted to get up "maybe its a good thing I dont have a farm"

yep, we only are allowed hens in our town, but I so desperately wanted chicks to bring some fun into the cold winter days. I want to try hatching again, but this lady was the only person I could find for eggs, and though delicious, they are obviously not very fertile!

A barnyard mix for my first try. May be some pure Plymouth (barred) as he tends to run with his own girls. RIR mix, a polish mix, and an ee, the other roo is a red Pyle LF. I didn't want to hatch expensive eggs my first time out. I had a friend hatch out my last jerseys from a breeder.

These guys go into lock down tomorrow. I suspected the EE to hatch a little early so I've been hand turning for two days after taking out the auto.

@Cynthia, hope you're doing better girly.

@Muscovy Momma, I paid $200/6 Ayam Cemani eggs. The eggs were donated and the money went to a family that had a house and farm fire. So, I'm glad the family in need got money, but I sure wish at least one of those eggs hatched.


Yesterday was hatch day for my broody and her one lone egg. I'm having back issues that are keeping me down. If I can get myself up and out today, that will be the first place I check.
