NEVER heard of anyone adding iodine? Ok...why?
to add color? Healthy? Inquiring mind wants to

iodine is added to bread to fortify it.

It seems like we are not getting enough iodine again-- I read a study that said iodized salt has less iodine in it than it is supposed to.

I made a cherry babka today. I put it in the fridge for after dinner. But it still rose, and rose too much so the braid came undone.
It still tasted lovely though. There is half left but it may not last that long!

I found iodine has helped me out on several occasions when run down but I tend to forget too use it. It doesn't taste in my bread and thought it was a good idea too add for my health.
It's also been helpful to my dog but not through eating bread. :)

I must remember too do this everytime.

I've just purchased plaque off for my cat and dog, this contains iodine and it's helping them amongst other good things they seem much more relaxed.
