It’s been a decently good year for me, actually. Not trying to brag. Still, let’s have a better 2023.

I can't complain about this last year. It was mostly good for us. 2021 was much, much worse. And I won't even mention 2020. (Talk about damned by faint praise!)

Still, I know a lot of people, on BYC and in my circle of friends and acquaintances, had very rough years. So I'm hoping for better for those who need a break.

You’re not gonna believe what I got for Christmas from my father.

It’s a kit where you build a blunderbuss, the ancestor of the modern shotgun.

It’s not done yet, the wood needs to be stained, the barrel needs to be blued, some additional sanding work also.

Something to cherish for life.

36 sunny 61% humidity feels like 31 rain 0%.

My neighbor called yesterday to see if we would like a Christmas plate dinner for each of us.

Of course we said yes.

I can only wish everyone had neighbors like we do.
