A little pullet. Autosexing. Wish it was so easy to tell with BCMs. I am letting you know right now that I think I have 6 pullets in my new batch of BCMs. If it works out I will let you know why I guessed that.Oh, ok. The chipmunk stripe threw me

I would like to see a side picture. From what I see he has a very narrow back, notice that his back width tapers from front to back. I believe he also has a short back causing the high tail set. The Hackle look more like a Wheaten than a BC Marans. Comb is extra large and is not wanted ,
I'll tell you right now that all of mine are girls. I call them all that until they prove me wrong
Sorry I had your name wrong Snowbird. It must have been a subconscious slip. I am a Floridian and I never considered it a polite term! I will correct my post!Bonne chance a vous duex! May all your chicks be girls. A new blessing!
Those look great SC. Exactly how mine looked when I got them. That side by side shows an amazing difference.I can take individual pictures later, but the wind is howling this morning so I'm not taking them out. Here's the current group at 12 days. I think two of them are several days older
A few are a little dark, but not as dark as my first chicks. One is a little mossy, but most have way more white look than my first batch.
Thoughts?
Don asked for weekly pictures, and you know how I love posting pictures, so we'll all get to watch them growThose look great SC. Exactly how mine looked when I got them. That side by side shows an amazing difference.
