Most here think it's madness or a joke.
If they looked at the coops on my coop page it would make a lot more sense.
400 degrees centigrade (blue tip of flame) kills everything it touches, mites eggs bacteria.
It does take a bit of practice and I do char the wood from time to time.
Bee keepers have been cleaning hives and racks with a blow torch for years.
Of course, it means no chemicals which is good.
