BYC Café

Sunny, not as warm today, but that's ok. Also less wind.

I'm getting a 2 yard load of washed stone delivered. We have 1/4 mile of dirt road before it gets to where the county takes care of the maintenance. There are some potholes, for sure. I swear there is an underground stream out there, sucking rocks down into the ground.

We have wet and cooler weather coming in the forecast. I'm fine with it getting chilly at night again; the fruit trees and blueberry bushes need to just sit back and relax. It ain't time to go yet!

I saw "the new people" yesterday when Freya and I went for a walk. I took them some seed potatoes. Man! Those things are sprouting like crazy! The sprouts have pushed the top of the box open.

They're stored in the basement (low light), in a box, with a heavy blanket draped over them. The urge to grow must be really great.

Hopefully well after the vortex so that gravel doesn't fill with poops.
The bottom drain goes directly to the settlement tank then to the bog filter. The filter is designed to be back flushed once a year to clean it out. The settlement tank will be pumped out every other week or so.
