Sometimes, but I will be adding a run. No chickens in it yet.Afternoon, Cafe.
I made a fresh pot in case anyone is interested.
Same story a little west of you.
That is the best kind of weekend IMHO! Congratulations on the new babies, IM!
Looking nice, Cap! I take it you free range?
No , the windows I got are for the goat/ feed shed I am planning.Looking good Cap! Is that a window you went to get the other day?
Thanks for the coffee DL, I need it!
Have some cheese with that whine!Hot and sweaty here. Frankly I'm just plain tired.
I filled and tamped down the water pipe trench. Hung a new gate only to find the striker post had rotted out at the bottom. Had to dig that out. It's a 700mm dig down to get it all out.
Cleaned out two coops. How so Muscovy ducks manage to crap on the ceiling!
Moved the donkeys out of one field into another and got my foot trod on in the process. Good job I wear steel toe caps.
Just about to head out to do the night time count and feed. Still having a few problems with little miss savage. One chick has got the hang of the ramp but the other hasn't.
Then there are the mosquitoes!
Is that enough moaning or would you like some more?
I don't mind if I do. Thank you very much. That is proper English Stilton you're offering me isn't it?Have some cheese with that whine!
Do you have a generator DL? One that is capable of keeping lights on and possibly an oven, say something above 4KvA?It's still a gusher out there and the power as already blipped out once but this is a little close for comfort. I'm located where the black dot is...

Yep. I'd just cook on the gas grill if it came to that. Now, running the well pump for water is another matter...Do you have a generator DL? One that is capable of keeping lights on and possibly an oven, say something above 4KvA?
Same problem here. Just over 130 meters of pipe to an irregular decline to the well (maybe 12 meters) and a well head between -5 and -8 meters. When the pump goes on and the oven is going the lights go dim.Yep. I'd just cook on the gas grill if it came to that. Now, running the well for water is another matter...
