Emu pictures and stories.... post them here

Most contributers here, leoC, are in the U.S. I am at Lake Muir, Western Australia -- that's rothschildi territory.

Emu need a good, sturdy high fence. Lots of room to run, and predator protection of course. Emu need interaction to keep imprinted to their humans too. We want Emu, but until I feel we are 100% ready I will not get any! We have 5 acres so when the time comes we have room.
We keep cows, goats and donkeys so the pasture is no issue. We plan to add LGDs this spring, and once they are here we plan to add Emu also. We have coyote here in high numbers. Electric fencing helps, but guardian dogs will help ensure their safety. @briefvisit is a wise person in regards to the species! I respect his views and opinions very much.
A great thread to read, and learn sooo much about Emu:

Llama's are great guards for any animal and, for us, easier to care for then most livestock they protect! Oue emu actually helped keep flying predators away from our chickens until we moved them to the pasture with the large animals.
