Llama's are great guards for any animal and, for us, easier to care for then most livestock they protect! Oue emu actually helped keep flying predators away from our chickens until we moved them to the pasture with the large animals.

They are a federally protected species. Contact DNR first to find out if you can even own them..

Yes you can have them. I don't know how to get a permit.

Again, my advice is to contact DNR. I worked with them for years in Animal control. They issue permits for keeping wild species.
