I think you may be right...lol They do do that.Chicks can sense when you are worried and hold off just to tease you. They'll probably wait until night to pip.

Wow. My last two hatches started on day 19 and we saw lots of action!! The last hatch was one short of being done by the evening of the 20th. The last egg hatched out early on the 21st...lol (33 hatchers)We've only had three hatches, but all three had their first pip while we were asleep. Our second hatch all but one hatched while we were asleep too. I do kinda like the little peep alarms waking me up at 2 AM.
