Verify the temperature reading on the incubator is correct using what you know to be an accurate thermometer, and an accurate Hygrometer will be essential for measuring humidity as some incubators may not be accurate with their humidity readings. I'm sure these folks will have other advice...

Yes! ALWAYS use another thermometer and hygrometer inside the incubator. Make sure that both have been calibrated so they're accurate. Never trust the readings on the incubator unless you've tested it with accurate hygrometer and thermometer.

My brand new incubator runs 10% low on the humidity. I'm glad I put a hygrometer inside to test it because I would have issues if I trusted the incubator itself.
