Thanks, I know it difficult at this age, but how sure are you that its a female, say a percentage? No guarantee I know just your view?

I'm not an expert so if you are really need to know to make a decision I would ask someone else :) I've never owned a Barred Cochin. I have owned barred breeds, and the females are darker than the males when feathered. Barred cockerels will have a lighter/more silvery appearance with more white. The comb of your chick also looks pale and small, which usually indicates a pullet.

However, the pictures may wash out the color of the comb - so I'm not sure about that.

I'd say I'm 60% sure.

Hi... I have 3 Easter Egger's ( i got at our local grange, as sexed pullets). One has dark orange on the wings... but comb is small and no red .... It's a girl right???? here's a picture... thanks in advance :)
