Incubating eggs to hatch about August 8th

We should write a book (we could probably write it from this thread alone lol): Confessions of a (bunch of) hatch-a-holic(s)

I'm sorry about your hatch rate. :hugs

Thank you for your support. I still have 9 peafowl eggs in the incubator for about another 3-5 days. Maybe they will hatch well. My niece wanted a pair of peafowl and my nephew wanted long tailed. We did get one Cubalaya out of my second hatch, but still waiting to see if it is a Pullet or Cockeral. Wish us luck on the tail...

I so need my computer fixed so I can take/post some good pics. I will try to upload some from my phone later so everyone can see the fuzzzy butts. Maybe it will aid Alaskan in the banty drool department.

LOL...your are RIGHT!!!! I need a local hook-up for my bantam baby addiction, but not much luck so far

First time I have tried and looked into it and summer is when I had time for all the craziness! Now school is back in and getting my classroom going in taking up ALL my time

I tried to sell a couple of cockerels (too many boys) and I couldn't even give them away.

Here is a little more temptation...LOL...

Top is Bantam Cochin I believe and bottom is Bantam Frizzle..think my Cochin may be a ROO

No Roo's allowed where I live

And not sure about this baby

But they are both ADORABLE

The one with no comb (to speak of) looks like you can hope for a pullet there. Looks really tiny too. =)
The brown-ish one in the middle with the prominent comb...I'm hoping with you that it's a girl!!!

Now, now!

Listen to yourself...if you are not careful, you will need one of each and every Cochin color (I think that is a lot).

CHICKEN MATH!!!

That doesn't sound very enabling, @Alaskan .

Banty cochin's flanking the duck and a banty buttercup behind.

I am hoping the one close to the foot is not a boy. It was my early bird, popped out a day early and I swear it had a comb while it was still wet. It's now 3 weeks old.

Cute babies!!!!!
I can't let DS see the duckling or he's going to get back on his kick about wanting ducks (and turkeys and fish and cats and...He's a wildlife specialist, like the Kratt brothers). Anyway...
Hoping that one isn't a boy with you!!!

Dang! That duck is cute!! I think he steals the show.

I was thinking the same thing,,,,,BUT I thought 8 geese were cute too at that age!   Thank God, some one was foolish enough to buy them from me!

I actually liked the fact that they mowed my lawn (i had some last year). They needed almost no feed!! My lawn looks pretty bad without the geese. (Haven't mowed, luckily, the chickens have helped some..but they are in tractors).

However, the spouse REALLY hated the fact that the geese liked taking all naps on the walk to our front door. It was wall to wall goose slime, or
I guess, edge to edge goose slime. :D
