first marans hatch of the year 2021 . all from BLM X BC and BLC hens . set 12 egg .8 hatched { 1 splash ,1 BLC and 5 BC all chunky and healthy } 2 infertile and 2 did brake .well pleased .
we have 10 hens sitting on eggs . plus last night filled up a 48 incubator . we will transfer them under broody hen when they are available .
few NN chicks hatched too ,

well happy with CTB fertility . his chicks look solid and chunky .good hatch down .

It is quite laborious to keep them all happy and healthy, but after another snow storm lasting from last evening throughout the night, it is beginning to thaw, finally.
